MARJORIE MILNER COLLEGE

 

The majority of our students are referred through the Floral Industry. We suggest you ask the Floral Industry whom they would recommend for training. Classes are held in Melbourne, Victoria and Launceston as well as Hobart, Tasmania. The college offeres workplace based training across Victoria and Tasmania as a training option.

 
     

Certificate III in Floristry

 

Certificate III in Floristry is offered as apprenticeship training through employment or it can also be studied outside apprenticeship. You are required to have a connection to the floral industry to undertake these studies. Certificate III continues on from Certificate II as they are nested qualifications. You are a fully qualified florist on completion of these studies. The total number of hours is 891 (this includes the 557 hours of Certificate II in Floristry). This course will be completed in two and a half to three years attending one day per week. Classes are offered day and evening. Day classes are from 9am to 4.30pm.

Students are required to supply their own wire, parafilm, cutters, hand towel and notebook. A list will be supplied to all applicants.

 

The Certificate II units are pre-requisites for the Certificate III in Floristry. Certificate III can also be studied as an apprenticeship funded by the Victorian Government training scheme.
