To undertake the Certificate IV in Floristry, students must first hold the Certificate III in Floristry. After finishing the Certificate IV in Floristry you will be able to supervise a small floristry business and perform the relevant planning and evaluation of work undertaken by team members.
The Certificate IV in Floristry can be studied as an institution based student and is usually undertaken one day per week.
Once you have completed the Certificate IV in Floristry, you can confidently and competently own and operate a Melbourne Florist Shop or work within the Victoria Floristry Industry. You may choose to travel around Australia to work in a series of different Floristry environments as this qualification is recognised Australia wide. You may also decide to move into different areas involving floristry including event management and allied trades or utilise your floristry skills overseas.
Flowers are supplied for practical use in classes and remain at the College at the completion of class. Students may be required to bring in special flowers for competitions or special events.

Tuition Fees
All fees on the Course Fees page are relevant to 2015. These fees may be subject to change in subsequent calendar years. The tuition fees you pay will depend on your eligibility for government subsidised training. Note that each course has a relevant yearly education amenities fee which must be paid each year that a student is on course.
Concession fee rates are available to eligible students who hold a recognised concession card, such as a health care card. Full fee payers and Diploma course students are ineligible for concession rates.
Fees are due upon commencement. Students may not have to pay the full amount upfront depending on the duration of the course.
Students with relevant Credit Transfers from previous studies may be eligible to receive a discount on fees. Tuition Fees may vary depending on electives selected.
