Floristry Courses / Certificate IV in Floristry SFL40115

What’s included in this course:

Qualification of Certificate IV in Floristry
Flexible start date for all enrolments
Opportunities for competition work

The Certificate IV in Floristry involves theory and practical work which intends to develop your skills in floristry design and construction techniques. The Certificate IV focuses on more difficult floristry designs, constructions and advanced sales skills.

To undertake the Certificate IV in Floristry, students must first hold the Certificate III in Floristry. After finishing the Certificate IV in Floristry you will be able to supervise a small floristry business and perform the relevant planning and evaluation of work undertaken by team members.

The Certificate IV in Floristry can be studied as an institution based student and is usually undertaken one day per week.

Once you have completed the Certificate IV in Floristry, you can confidently and competently own and operate a Melbourne Florist Shop or work within the Victoria Floristry Industry. You may choose to travel around Australia to work in a series of different Floristry environments as this qualification is recognised Australia wide. You may also decide to move into different areas involving floristry including event management and allied trades or utilise your floristry skills overseas.

Classes follow the Victorian School term dates, with four terms to a year. Daily classes are held between 9:00am to 4:30pm at the Surrey Hills Campus within the scheduled intakes mentioned under ‘Study Options Page’.

There are professional equipment and tools required to work with the Floristry Industry. A list of necessary materials is supplied to all applicants upon enrolment and includes items such as wire, parafilm, cutters, hand towel and notebook.

Flowers are supplied for practical use in classes and remain at the College at the completion of class. Students may be required to bring in special flowers for competitions or special events.
