Jenny has created an intricate frame for her bouquet. She spent hours and hours creating this beautiful design out of aluminium , copper and bullion wire to replicate the style of dress two. She used steam punk accessories to continue the theme. She flowered her structure with delicate Phalaenopsis orchid, String of pearls, Spanish moss, Blackberries and Freesias. This design is worthy of publication in any floristry industry magazine. Jenny’s hairpiece depicts the fashion of steampunk with the top hat design. This is also a delicately handmade design.

Thuy has created a beautiful parasol style design for dress one. She has spent many hours on her bouquet frame using aluminium, copper and bullion wire to create a delicate bouquet. She has replicated the rose detail in the centre of her design from the roses on the dress. The centre has a beautifully created Romelia in it. She has used Roses, Arab’s eyes, Love in the mist and String of pearls in her design. The underside of Thuy’s parasol is as beautiful as the top. Thuy’s hairpiece replicates the handle of her parasol to compliment her bouquet design.

Hannah has created a delicate informal bouquet that is held dropping from the hand. She has used aluminium wire to create the circle and used chain to create the drops from the top. The chains show the layered features of dress two. She has used feathers, Fine fern, Cymbidium orchids and James story orchids to create a delicate design. Hannah has used the steampunk hat to using feathers, Lotus pods, Cymbidiums and Fine fern to compliment her design.

Lani has created an informal bouquet made out of cogs that are typical of steampunk designs. Lani has used bullion wire and chains to complete the design structure. Lani has used Roses in her design to replicate the roses on dress one. She has created a matching hairpiece using bullion wire and tiny light bulbs to compliment her bouquet design.

Great Work to all those that entered. The AAFD look forward to running the online floristry competition next year in 2018.
